What is Clear + Brilliant?
Clear + Brilliant is a unique treatment that uses safe, fractional laser technology to address the early signs of aging skin and help prevent them.
How does Clear + Brilliant work?
Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser that refreshes your skin from the inside out. The laser energy creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin, replacing damaged skin with healthy, younger looking tissue.
How long is the treatment?
Clear + Brilliant treatments take about 20-30 minutes or less. Total appointment time will vary.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments is tailored to your concerns and skincare desires. In recent studies, consumers reported visible improvements after 4-6 treatments, though many patients choose to have routine treatments as part of their overall skin care regimen. Your skin care provider will discuss a personalized treatment regimen with you.

When do the results appear, and how long do they last?
The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. A few days after the treatment, the skin will start to feel softer, look brighter and show more even tone. Results can last for months depending on age, skin condition and how the patient protects the skin.
What will I look like immediately after the procedure? Can I go right back to work?
Clear + Brilliant treatments are very gentle and are specifically designed to minimize the side effects of typical laser treatments. You may experience some redness and subtle inflammation right after the treatment. Those generally resolve within a few hours, but may last until the following day.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe an increased sensation of heat during the treatment. We will apply a topical anesthetic ointment before the procedure, which helps to minimize the discomfort during treatment. We will also apply a cooling gel or cooling packs after the procedure to minimize any residual heat sensation.
Who performs the procedure?
Our staff has been extensively trained on the Clear + Brilliant treatments. In this office the procedure is performed by our registered nurse Joanne McKinnon and Debbie Leskiw.
Can I avoid other cosmetic procedures if I do this?
Each procedure has its own benefits. Clear + Brilliant is a great choice for refreshing your skin, helping to slow or prevent early signs of aging and maintaining the skin to look younger for longer.
Can I get Clear + Brilliant treatments if I've already had other procedures?
Clear + Brilliant procedures may be complementary to most other cosmetic procedures, like fillers, Thermage® or even Botox®. For best results you will need to discuss your past procedures, any future procedures you may be considering as well as your current expectations with Dr. Babin-Muise and Dr. Bosworth during your consultation.
Is it safe?
The Clear + Brilliant treatment is very safe when used by a trained expert that will evaluate your skin and recommend the best course of treatment. Of course, as with any laser procedure there's always some risk and/or downtime. Dr. Babin-Muise and Dr. Bosworth can discuss those with you during your consultation.
How much does the Clear + Brilliant treatment cost?
The cost depends on the number of treatments you need for your desired results. We encourage you to come in for a consultation at which point we can give you a more precise idea of cost.

Clear + Brilliant has been available since mid-2011. Our office has been offering Clear + Brilliant treatments since mid-2016.
